Abstract

The road pavement life is fully depend on the subgrade of the road. The load transfer from the vehicle will moves to the subgrade. If subgrade is weak then settlement of the road will takes place. It is very difficult to lay road when the subgrade have silty clay. In this project we are going to used bio enzyme (terrazyme) and quarry dust to stabilize the silty clay subgrade. By using these stabilizing material we can reduce the thickness of the pavement. We are going to do sieve analysis test, liquid limit, plastic limit, modified proctor compaction test, CBR test to find out strength of the silty clay before and after adding the stabilizing material.
