Abstract

Voting season is about to come and many voters being employed, away from their respective constituency will again be denied their basic right to vote because of voting restrictions based on traditional registration & EVM based voting system. Very less is known about online-voting and its future. Problem was to ensure secure, redundancy-free voting & managing database with concurrent access to the voting systems. Our proposal is to implement idea of e-voting through select centres in parallel to the normal voting system. Levels of voting at centres: 1> Verification section: Biometric verification and bogus checks with Aadhaar Database. 2> Voting Section: A monitored voting machine with direct Update-access to the central voting Database. Approach: - Ensure secure voting with establishment of next generation WANs which has its own sharing Network with no common entrance from WWW (world-wide-web). - Discourage bogus voting with implementation of Bio-statistical data of Unique Identification System (Aadhaar). - All-IP networking for Clash-less protocol functioning and access monitoring. - Databases with concurrent access and Scale-out performance with ample throughput support and secure proxy based back-up. Though, strenuous to extend distributive-voting as major voting method, still it can be a privilege for those denied of voting, to Use their Right-To-Vote.
