Abstract

The proposed “An Energy Efficient Routing Protocol in MANET” is considered energy consumption node in the ad hoc networks, since mobile nodes are battery powered. In the prolong the life of the ad hoc networks, it is the crucial issue in order to minimize the energy consumption of nodes. An energy-efficient multipath routing protocol for the choice of energy-efficient way. This system also takes into account the transmission power of nodes and residual energy as energy metrics to maximize network lifetime and to reduce the power consumption that mobile Node. The proposed system is to find an optimal route based on two metrics during energy optionally a route to transmit data packets. Propose a cooperative communication protocol for establishment of these clusters and for cooperative transmission of data. It is to derive the upper bound of the capacity of the protocol, and analyze the end-to-end robustness of the protocol to data-packet loss, along with the tradeoff between energy consumption and error rate. The analysis results are used to compare the energy savings and the end-to-end robustness of protocol with two non-cooperative schemes, as well as to another cooperative protocol published in the technical literature.
